May you please chance me?

Hey, I know I can just look up college statistics and stuff to see where I lie, but I was wondering if my extra curriculars could play a large role in my admissions. My grades aren't exactly stellar compared to many people here, but I find them pretty decent (I know they aren't the best >___<), and I was wondering if anyone could kindly chance me for the following schools (I'll chance you back!):

Edit: I'm in the top 10% of my class and I was Senior Patrol Leader and ASPL of my BoyScout troop for some tme

Well it seems like you’ve got some good stuff going for you, albeit GPA is a tad weak (and I don’t see a class rank). Do you have any idea what you want to do for a career? If so, then you should join a club that has something to do with it and get really involved (because you were slightly lacking in extracurricular activities in my opinion). Most of the colleges you listed probably won’t take you without definitive career/future plans. I dunno, are you in NHS, do you have any leadership positions? I’d say that the first five you listed are pretty much reaches, but generally pretty decent.

Thanks for your input wrightm! But doesn’t 6 seasons of being a sports captain denote leadership?

bump
10 char

Truth no powdering right here.
I’m assuming that you’re not URM right now (white?) correct me if i’m wrong as it would change a lot of things.

Stanford -reach
Brown -reach
Cornell -low reach
Princeton -high reach
MIT -high reach
UCLA -match
UCB -match (if letter and science, as long as its NOT engineering)
UCSD - pretty much in.

Both ACT and SAT are a bid weak for stanford, MIT and princeton. Your stats and ECs makes it so that it doesn’t seem like MIT would be a good place for you.

Also are you ELC?

Are there chances that you might be recruited for sports? because that would change a lot of stuff as well.

Actually, I think your SAT is on the low side for Berkeley and LA. While the composite score is fine, the breakdowns for writing and CR are a bit low. Everything looks great for SD, though. The private schools are high reaches.
