May you please provide me with your input regarding being admitted to Wash U?

<p>Hello,
I am aware that Wash U is a complete reach for me, but I am curious to hear your input about Wash U taking a chance on admitting me Early Decision. Most importantly, I am applying to the Engineering School for Biomedical Engineering. </p>

<p>Academics:
. Attend a rigorous boarding school in New England.
. 3.3/4 GPA
. Upon graduation I will have completed 4 AP courses (Calc, Stats, Environmental, and Biology).
. Two Years of an architecture course.
. Two years of an engineering course.
. ACT: 29
. Additionally, I have enrolled in two summer semester courses at Wash U and performed quite well recording an A and A-.

Recommendations:
. A recommendation being composed by the head of the English Department of my school as well as my Genetics teacher.
. More importantly, both teachers that taught the courses at Wash U are composing a statement vouching for my abilities, which will also be submitted to Wash U.
. Lastly, several board members at Wash U will be submitting letters of recommendation. </p>

<p>Extra Curricular Activities:
. Varsity Tennis for four years.
. Captain of the Varsity team for two years.
. Junior B Hockey for three years.
. USTA tournament tennis.
. 100 hours of teaching tennis to children with mental handicaps (donated time).
. 400 hours of teaching children how to skate as well as play hockey (donated time).
. 100 hours of assisting at an animal shelter (donated time).
. 100 hours of time donated to a local soup kitchen.
. Three summers of work experience; all of which were day camps involving younger children.
. Business Finance and Investment Club.
. Reach Community Service Club.
. Adopt a Path
. Philosophy Club.</p>

<p>Like momworried said, your stats could be better, but you never know with a holistic review school. One thing many schools say is they won’t accept anyone ED who wouldn’t get in RD, but you can always try! The reviews from the WU summer courses may help. Good luck!</p>
