MBA admissions and undergrad GPA

Do MBA admissions look at your undergraduate GPA? Does the MBA admissions look at the context of your GPA, say if a student at MIT got a 3.3 and a student at Cornell got a 3.6, how would that compare? Would it be better to go to a "relatively" easier engineering school and get a higher GPA than to go to a "relatively" harder engineering school and get a lower GPA(and possibly failing your first two freshman classes)?

What about a 3.3 at MIT and a 3.6 at Stanford (since stanford has grade inflation)?

Did you fail two of your first freshman classes at MIT?

this is all hypothetical, and the average GPA at MIT is a 3.3

id actually be interested in this question too…
but my question would regard a GPA from stern…i havent even enrolled yet cause im still confused what to do…any help would be great =D

GPA is only one of many criteria that admission committees look at. It’s not the most important and a lower GPA can be mitigated with a high GMAT score. This should play absolutely no role in your enrollment decision.
