If one has to rank an MBA graduate from these institutes, in terms of which MBA would catch an eye of the recruiter/employer, how would you rank them as 1,2,3,4? If Cost ( living and tuition both) is not consider as a factor of preference of one over other.
- SCU
- SJSU
- USF
- St Mary’s
- CSU EB
there are a lot more than 5 options in N Cal - why those 5?
Those 5 MBA programs are within the SF/Oakland/SJ Bay Area region. If you want to consider UCD, it is outside the immediate Bay Area.
The rankings above look fine, except that SCU is clearly well above #2. I think SJSU and USF are neck to neck 2 and 3 and depending of whom you ask, the order can be switched.
UCB Haas and Stanford are located in the Bay Area and clearly well above that group you listed, but you need high
stats and at least a couple of years of full time professional work experience to get in.
GGU and SFSU are other MBA programs in SF, but lower rankings.
it hurts me to say this, but as a SCU MBA grad, the answer to the original question might be “doesn’t really matter”. Yes, SCU is ranked above all the others, but well well below Stanford or Berkeley Haas. I wasn’t too impressed with the career center either as far as helping out my career, but that was 30+ years ago.
@NCalRent; what could be other options? ( except Berkely and Stanford.) Please do let me know.
In my opinion, except for the mentioned Stanford and UCB Haas, all the MBA programs you named above are not worth attending full time. Possibly UCD might be okay to attend full time. I don’t think there is a high number or caliber of job recruiters going to many of these campuses.
