does anyone know anything about MBA/MD programs

I do know that you usually don't apply for them until you are in your senior year of college. When you apply to med school if they have an mba/md program you can apply to it.

Yes...samething. You save a year in your MBA (1 year instead of 2), but have to do some courses (in some programs) over the summer.
It's better though, if you get your MBA from a prestigious school (spend the extra year).

1.) We're generally advised that applying to a combined program makes it hard to convince medical schools that you're genuinely interested in medicine, and so you're advised to wait until you're actually in medical school to apply for an MBA separately.

2.) Unlike the prestige of an MD, the prestige of an MBA matters a great deal. Law school is intermediate. This makes sense: MD training is highly regulated and enforced, and people know you've come through a rigorous selection and training process. Law schools are free to graduate whomever they like, but your students still have to pass the bar, so there is a floor to how bad you can get while still being a law school.

In contrast, any idiot with a laser printer can give out MBAs - and so the pedigree of the program matters a great deal.

BlueDevilMike, how do you like Fuqua? How does it's healthcare sector management program compare to Whartons and Kelloggs?

No idea. I went to Fuqua a couple times to take studies, and that's my entire experience with the program.
