MBA/MFA question

I know that this is what I want to do with my life.

My question is:
What should I major in in undergrad?
I was thinking double major in Business Management (or finance?) and Theater.
What do you think?

And also, where should I apply to?
My current list:
Cornell
Columbia
UPenn
NYU (stern)
U of Chicago
Syracuse
Northeastern

Don’t major in management, that is weak. Major in finance or accounting or a hard science. Anything Ivy should be top of the list. Below Ivy I would rank it NYU, Chicago, Syracuse and NE.

Focus on getting into UG and forget those MBA/MFE dreams for the time being. Businesses don’t plan past 5 years and neither should you. You can try and do it, but it will be unrealistic.

Thanks for your input! I get what you mean with the undergrad acceptance right now, but I just hope to set myself up for the best outlet into that major, you know? I may change my major after a few years in school, but who knows?

Where you should apply to would depend on your stats. The Ivies and Chicago are in a different league than NYU, Syracuse and Northeastern. Also, Chicago and Columbia do not offer undergraduate business.

If a school doesn’t offer UG business, just major in economics.

Northwesten Univ in Evanston has both business and theater.

MBA and MFA??? You cannot compare them to each other, for they are totally different, and will lead you to a different paths. If you want to work in anything related to theater, then MFA owns anything, but other than that, you should look into a top MBA programs which you already mentioned.

I can get a double masters at several colleges in MBA and MFA at the same time, thus I won’t need to decide on a single one.
Also, I will major in economics at U of Chicago and Columbia. Hopefully, I’ll get accepted into Columbia (My first choice), and from there I’ll work it out!
Thanks everyone!
