I was wondering what is better. Should I get a job first and then get the MBA or should I just go straight to the MBA program? I know having the working experience is better, but will not working diminish my chance in the workforce if I have an MBA and no experience?

Job first.

From most of the research I have done any MBA program that you can into without work experience isnt worth going to and if somehow you do get into a good MBA program you will have a hard time getting a job upon graduation because you will be competing against your peers who have work experience

Most programs that will accept students without work experience are pretty bad. Getting an MBA from these programs will not add any value to you qualifications. To get accepted at a top-tier program (top 15), you have gotta be a superstar to go in without work experience. Even then, it will be difficult for you to get a job outside of consulting and investment banking. The industry recruiters look for work experience.

Tons and tons of people graduate with MBA degrees every year. Most will have several years of work experience. How will you stack up with them when you are looking for a job ?
