I am an econ/math major, and I transferred after my sophomore year because I wasn't happy at the university I was attending. I had a very high GPA at the first university I attended (3.9). However after transferring I only took all upper level classes and my GPA fell to a 3.4. I want to attend a top business school and I was wondering if these business schools will take into account my situation? Or will they only look at my transcprit from the second university I attended? I am just hoping that when I apply for MBA schools they will be viewing my GPA as a 3.6/3.7.

The 3.4 won’t keep you out of a top program if you have great work experience. Having career success trumps all in business school admission.

So will these MBA programs be looking at my freshman and sophomore classes from my first university? Or will they only be intersted in my major GPA?

I appreciate all the help. Thanks

They will look at both transcripts in full.
