MBA School Chances

Hey guys, just wanted to get your input on what schools you think I could get into with my resume. About me:

California State School
Accounting Major
GPA: 3.5 (Lowest honors)
Currently work at Big 4 in audit
Have worked in the family business since the 4th grade. (Multiple Restaurants) Experience in every position in the company.Want to go back after getting my MBA.

So my plan is to start studying for the GMAT this summer and apply for MBA programs this winter. I will have 1 full year of Big 4 experience this summer and about 18 months by this winter when I apply. I hope that does not hurt my chances of admission as I would would only have 18 months of experience. I have more than enough experience in the family business. Started working in the 4th grade and have worked in many roles. Ran a store, book keeping, new store development, minimal IT... its a family business so I got to see and do everything. So back to the main point, which schools in California do you think I could get into for an MBA program?

Hard to say without a GMAT. You have solid stats and big 4 experience is a plus. I’d try for UCB, UCLA and USC as your dream schools. But big competition will come from the Ivy leaguers with IB or consulting experience so be prepared to move down in class to UCD or UCI. Also I’d consider going OOS. I think East coast places like NYU will give a small preference to a west coast guy for the sake of diversity.

How well do you think I need to do on the GMAT? Always hated standardized tests. Also, what is the top school anywhere you guys think I have a chance of getting into with my application?

Haas and Anderson require 700+.

Apply part-time whenever doable.

Does part time help your chances? There is no way you can work at the Big 4 and go to school, we just work too many hours.
