MBA sports?

Would a MBA in sports management or sports business be helpful? Would it really give you that much of an advantage? What schools would be good to look into for a sports MBA??? Any help please!!!!!

The Warsaw School at the University of Oregon

if you majored in sports management as an undergrad, then adding a MBA may help give you another dimension to whatever aspect of sports management you're working in.

if you majored in a business-related field and want to specialize in sports management, NYU has some good programs:

MS: http://www.scps.nyu.edu/departments/degree.jsp?degId=59
certificate: http://www.scps.nyu.edu/departments/degree.jsp?degId=60

The competitive advantage that a Sports MBA will allow you is the networking opportunities available.

San Diego State University also has a relatively new MBA program in sports business management.

www.sdsu.edu/sportsmba

I would pick a higher-ranked school with a strong sports club/organization over a lower-ranked school with a sports specialization, i.e. Anderson over SDSU

just a thought, but maybe going to a division 1 university would be a good thing since they have bigger athletic programs where you can network and stuff...
