So I'm probably posting in the wrong place, but I wanted some feedback from anyone with any insight. I'm a freshman at an ivy league institution, most likely majoring in something in the social sciences, and I'm just weighing my future options. I've always thought "Law School" in my mind, but I know the current status of lawyers is dismal. I've also thought about becoming a professor, except the prospect just doesn't excite me. I never saw myself as a potential MBA applicant, but that seems to make the most sense these days. Of course, I wish I could just become a novelist/publisher/editor--I should've been born quite some time ago. Again, any insight is MUCH appreciated.

First, I feel that I should tell you that I am a senior in high school, who is also looking into being a lawyer as well as the corporate sector.

But, I think that you should take a few classes (take some that fills a requirement, so that if you don’t like them then they aren’t a waste of time), to see what subject excites you the most. Remember, just because the status of lawyers is dismal right now, doesn’t mean that it will be once you complete undergrad and then law school. You should do something that you like, but that is also secure. Hope this helps.
