MBA vs. M.Eng

Hey everyone, so here's my situation, long story short (questions at the bottom):

I just finished out freshman year at Emory University, and I just threw out any notion of going premed. I've been a car freak since I was 3, and I realized that 60+ hour weeks with nights and weekends don't give me any time for my hobby. So I've done a quick 180, and I think (automotive) Mechanical Engineering may be my calling.

Unfortunately, Emory has no engineering school, so I'm probably going to do the 3-2 program with Georgia Tech, which gets me a liberal arts BA from Emory and an engineering degree from Tech. Assuming all goes according to plan, I will do a joint Economics-Math major at Emory and Mechanical Engineering at Tech.

I know I have plenty of time to soul-search, change my mind on things, etc. But as of right now, I think my (albeit quite lofty) goal is to be Bob Lutz or Dieter Zetsche, to climb to a high-up position in the product development/planning ladder that looks at both the business and engineering side of developing new cars.

So, looking far forward, what should my next academic step be (assuming a couple of years working in the industry)? An MBA? Is an MSME worth it? Both? Also, what do y'all think of this program at UMich: [ Michigan Engineering ] [ Professional Education ] [Global Automotive & Manufacturing Engineering]

TIA for your input!!
