I’m not exactly sure that this is in the correct category but do any people actually cheat on the MCAT or have you ever observed any cheating during the test?
-I’m just trying to prove a point about the ethics of cheating and how some people get through life just by cheating on everything.
It’s not possible to cheat on the MCAT. You have to lock up all your stuff in a locker, and then EVERY SINGLE TIME you enter and exit the testing room (bathroom breaks, snacks, etc) you have to be metal detector wanded, pull up your pants above the ankle, sleeves up to the elbow, turn out all pockets (including in sweaters), and be fingerprinted. Additionally, there are individual cameras at every single testing computer, and they are all rigorously monitored.
Seriously, get over your cheating issue. You certainly can’t get into/through med school by cheating
Exactly. And there is no point in getting fixated on what other people do. You are your own person.
Knowing now that it is impossible to cheat on the MCAT gives me a great deal of peace of mind. It was a question since I’ve never taken the MCAT. I have read about failed attempts to cheat to it though, which is just sad to cheat on such an important test.
Also you’re generally on camera the entire time you’re in the exam room - including each testing computer having a dedicated camera for it.
I feel like you can never say never - but it would take a very complicated scheme to pull it off. If I recall they inspected my pencils even before I could go in the first time and after that I wasn’t allowed to bring in new ones.
