<p>Since I'm definitely taking a year off, I probably won't want to take the MCAT this coming fall. (I'm a second year now). BUT I heard about how awful it is to take it during the year. If I must, I'll take it during winter quarter for the exam around spring quarter.</p>
<p>It takes so much time preparing for it...so I wonder if test prep courses would allow me to take a summer prep course, THEN a refresher winter quarter one?? (also i'll be in a full time research prgm this summer so MAYBE the best option is to study alone with the prep books i've now)?</p>

Option 1: study alone in summer, take winter prep course and spring exam
Option 2: prep course in summer, refresher course in winter, spring exam
Option 3: study alone in summer and winter, take prep course summer 2010, and then take exam fall 2010 before senior year begins</p>
