Any tips for preparing for the MCAT at University of Rochester? Does the school offer any prep classes, any prep classes available in the city of Rochester, etc?

The university does not offer MCAT prep classes; however, both Kaplan and Princeton Review offer in-person MCAT prep classes on/near the UR campus. Also Kaplan & Princeton Review both offer online prep classes and private tutoring.

As for how to prepare–study, study, study! Take as many full length practice exams as you can.

I see your an incoming freshman.

May I offer some advice (I have 2 children attending med school)–concentrate on being successful academically your first two years. Until you’ve actually completed the pre-requisite coursework (physics, gen chem, ochem, biochem, genetics, stats), you’re wasting your time trying to prep for the test.

If you want to do something, work on improving your reading comprehension & verbal skills. It’s the hardest area to improve.

Sounds great. Thank you so much!
