I'm thinking of either taking MCB 41 w/ Professor Wilt (Genetics and Society) or MCB 61 w/ Professor Presti (Brain, Mind, Behavior). I need one MCB course as a prereq for Public Health.

I don't really have a preference...as I'm interested in both courses. But I would prefer one that is relatively straightforward (doesn't have to be super super easy..though I wouldn't want one extremely difficult) with a good professor and good lectures.

Can anyone who has taken these courses give an advice?

that’s what i wanted to know like many posts down.

use pickaprof

CC doesn’t appear to have a very active PH major user.

do not take 41, its much harder. everyone loves 61 and presti. just look on ratemyprofessors.com

i have the same question too and need this for the same reason as peachpleasure.
right now, im enrolled in both but i need to drop one.

MCB 41:
.Pros. - how hard can it be if our textbook is called “Genetics for Dummies”? its interesting so far despite the fact that we’ve only had 1 lecture

MCB 61:
.Pros. - can it really be as much memorizing as bio 1b if there are at least THREE football players taking the class? no offense lol

i read on ratemyprof that even though mcb61 has Presti is great but it’s harder concept wise due to the memorization. true?
