So this class is a discovery course and discovery courses are always fun, but some of the reviews I am seeing of this class shows that it is hard (that you need to memorize a lot of things), and may solely be focused on biology and doesn't move into the more philosophical aspects.

If any of you have taken this class with Presti, please provide some insight.

Also if you recommend any other interesting bio breadth classes, add them here.

I took this class thinking that a significant part of the course would emphasize behavior and such, but the semester went on, and we never really got to that point. It is highly focused on biology. The parts that were related to behavior had to do with the biological basis for various behaviors (i.e. different neurotransmitters, and chemicals) and not so much the philosophical aspects as you say. I wouldn’t say that there is a TON of stuff the memorize, but it certainly isn’t an easy course where you can just cram right before the exams and do well. The discussion section is also very chill, all the GSIs are really nice. That being said, I would definitely recommend taking this course. Presti is a pretty cool guy.

cool, so though it has a heavy focus on biology and less so on philosophy it is a good class to take.
