MCB pre med. Need opinions!

Ok so I started off at a community college and didnt get straight A's in the sciences. I transferred to UC Berkeley as an mcb major (cdb) with a 3.62 overall gpa; I was working near full time so thats why my gpa was a bit low. Heres what I got in my bcpm classes:

Class ( Units) grade

Pre calc (5) A
calc 1 (5) A
calc 2 (5) A
Calc 3 (5) B

Gen chem 1 (5) A
Gen chem 2 (5) C

gen phys 1 (4) C
gen phys calculus supplement (1) B
gen phys 2 (4) A
Gen phys calculus supplement (1) A

Gen Bio 1 (5) A
Gen Bio 2 (5) A

Ochem 1 (5) A
Ochem 2 (5) A

So thats what I got in community college. Right now I now I will get a 3.815 this semester if my grades dont change. Im currently taking elementary persian (5 units), MCB 102 (4 units) and an american cultures class (4 units). I have an A in persian, A- in mcb 102, and A- in AC. Can my grades in my upper div classes make up for the grades that I got in CC? Im a bit worried about my C's in community college, but that was due to the hours that I was working.

Based on those courses (not including precalculus), it looks like your BCPM GPA is about 3.56 over 55 units of courses from CC (3.60 over 60 units if precalculus counts), which may be on the margins for medical school admission (depending on your MCAT score, of course). Your MCB and IB courses will, of course, affect your BCPM GPA, so strive for A or A+ grades in them.

Take a look at these tables:

You may want to ask your questions on the pre-med forum section.

I see. But I heard that the grades that I earn at cal are more important than the ones I got at CC. Is this true? I really am striving to get into a ca med school

California medical schools are reportedly very hard to get into, due to the large population of California relative to the number of spaces in California medical schools.

Most pre-meds are lucky to get into one medical school (half of those who apply get into zero), so they do not have the luxury of choosing a less expensive one from several admission offers.

I understand that it’s very tough to get into med school. I’m just wondering if med schools will look more at my mcb classes and mcat as opposed to my cc science courses?
