Ok so if you're waiting on an internal transfer decision from McCombs like I am, you're sweating it out about how it is all going to go down. Well, I emailed Charles Enriquez, who works in the Undergraduate Programs office, and ran the transfer meeting that I attended, as I'm sure all of yours, and he answered some of my questions about the procedures. Here is the text:

We will send emails to all applicants, with a link directing you to log-in with your UTEID and password to view your decision. Once you have a decision, if admitted, you will have the option to accept business as your sole major, add it as a dual degree to your current major, or decline admission to McCombs.

If admitted, you will have the opportunity to call the McCombs Undergraduate Programs Office to speak with a peer advisor, and if necessary speak with an academic advisor to answer any advising/degree plan/registration questions.

We did indeed have few eligible applicants for Fall 2010 Internal Transfer admission. We will release all decisions July 1st, with the necessary stats as well.

I hope this helps, and should you have any questions, please feel free to write. Good luck!

Wow thanks for this! I wonder what he means by “few eligible applicants.” They are still taking in around 250 students, right? If so, that’s only 50 or so spots less than before and I still wouldn’t call that a small number.

Today is going to be the longest day lol. Can’t until tomorrow!! I think they might have accepted less than 250 people because he said “few eligible applicants.” I am almost certain that the minimum GPA is 3.5

I’m not sure exactly what time I think between 8 am to 3 afternoon time range is reasonable. And the fact that they only received 320 applications with 250 open spots leads me to that assumption.

Congratulations! We are happy to inform you that you have been admitted to the McCombs School of Business as an internal transfer student for the Fall 2010 semester.

Congrats to you too!!! Well i’ve registered for BA 101T with Ehrisman. The other classes are full so I can’t register for those yet but I plan on taking ACC 311, BA 324, MIS 301, and MAN 336. What about you guys?

On the website it says “Once your college change form has been processed, you will have access to business courses beginning July 5, 2010. You may add/drop for the fall semester through July 16, 2010. Please refer to the on-line Course Schedule for specific times.”
Does it say that in your page also? Then I guess we can’t register until July 5.

It’s kind of confusing because I was able to register for B A 101T. So idk why that message is there.

We can add any classes that open up from now till then. I was able to add BA 101T, but I think the classes will stay relatively full until the 5th-9th when they release the reserved seats.

haha I’m sooo happy too! I wasn’t expecting this until tomorrow! My friend texted me to see if I got my decision yet because she got hers, so I ran to my computer and there it was!

I’m not sure yet. I am really want to do Accounting but we don’t have to declare a major until the end of fall semester. I’ll see how my Accounting class goes then I will decide. What about you?

I’d like to do management. I’ve had my mind set on it for a while, but I may end up changing that if I happen to like any of the other classes better.
