Hi everyone! I'm wondering if any one who gets in McCombs could post stats here. And we can get a picture that how hard it is to get in McCombs.

So far I heart lots of good news from Engineering, COLA and CONS students. However, I'm still waiting for the decision. Should I assume that I'm rejected by McCombs if I still didn't get anything?

Thank,

I can’t believe you haven’t found out yet. I got rejected with a 3.9 GPA about two weeks ago. I would have gotten in but I only had 1 Cal completed. You really do need to have all the indicator courses done. A few days before I got my decision, another dude on CC got accepted with a 4.0. You must really be on the bubble.

Thank you, derekallen 2009
I’m an internationl transfer, I guess you guys get the decisions earlier than me.
I finished all indicator courses and have a 3.95 GPA.

However, it’s a totally different story for international students. On 20th, my status just changed to "we’ve received all the things need for admission. Before that, it was always a default one. So I guess they started reviewing my application on 20th. I don’t know how long I should wait to see the decision.

What was your second choice, did u get in that?

Thanks,

Yeah, I got accepted for Economics in the liberal arts school.

Yeah, I got accepted for Economics. I’m still up in the air about it. It would be two semesters more of Calculus and three more of a foreign language. I would think you have a good shot though.

Thank you! I’ve been so desperated these days and I felt I’m almost be rejected.

I’m glad you have confidence on me. I called the international admissions office again, they said the decision will be made within next 2 weeks. So stiil 2 weeks’ torture…

I would say that go to UT! We can still fight for McCombs even if we didn’t get in now, right?

Yeah, you can transfer internally. As long as you get accepted to your second choice.

@derkallen2009: You only have cal 1 on your transcript, but are you taking cal 2 this semester? I ask this question because you and I are on the same boat. I also have only cal 1 on my transcript and have a 3.9 GPA. I am taking cal 2 this semester. It seems I have so little chance to get in.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm, have you got decision yet?

My app status just changed to “We’ve received all the items required to process your application. We’re currently reviewing your application for admission. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified by mail and your decision will be posted on this page.” on Saturday, so I don’t think my decision is coming soon. Maybe 2 more weeks. But I am worrying about cal 2 class. I am doing really well in cal 2 right now, but it’s not on the transcript. It seems not really promising.

mmmmmmmmmm, I feel that they should make the decision after you send your updated transcript. However, I bet it’s really competitive this year, and those who have already fulfilled indicator courses may not have a chance. Anyway, hopefully you at least get into your second choice and tranfer internally to McCombs!

ya, it is pretty competitive this year. i applied and got the dreaded rejection. lol. i have a 4.0 but have only taken pre-cal and trig this year. our school doesnt offer cal 1 or 2. so i didnt even have the chance to take em. lol. i got accepted to the college of natural sciences tho, and maybe ill try and transfer to mccombs later. i might just end up really liking the whole science/healthcare thing. so who knows…keep me updated on what happens with yall tho, k?
