McGill 2009 Admissions / Scholarships

ADMITTED!!

Faculty of Science
and faculty of agriculture and environmental sciences :)

1900 on SAT. theres hope for all of you!! GOOD LUCK!

Got accepted awhile back, but I'm Canadian so that probably explains why I was notified earlier. It's easier for us to get in too. As someone previously mentioned, they don't actually look at our SATs, ECs, or even recs, but rather just our grade 12 marks. I'll post em anyways though:

GPA: 4.0 uw
Percentage: 97% avg
SAT: 2050 (690 math, 680 writing, 680 CR)
SAT IIs: 740 math II, 800 french (second language)
APs this year: Calc AB, Physics B, Chem and English .. self-studying for French

Got a nice lil' entrance scholarship as well.

Oh, and I'm accepted to the Faculty of Arts & Science and the Faculty of Life Sciences

I got my letter about my entrance bursary today and I was pretty excited that it happened to be renewable!! So that's 6k a year, I'm pretty stoked. This means I might actually have a slim chance at going now. Of course McGill will have to be substantially cheaper than Cornell for me to go, even though it's the school I was dying to go to. Hopefully you guys get in. I dreamt about it for 2-3 years and it came true. Enrolling or not is iffy, but it's nice to know that I at least got in.

Good luck to all.

Where the last few acceptances via the mail?

Hey cdover!

I’m from singapore too! (: Are you fresh out of JC? I’m headed for McGill too!

I was accepted two weeks ago to the Faculty of Arts and to the Faculty of Management; however, I still don’t know if I will receive the major scholarship. I did not send my SATs since I am a French Baccalaureate holder.

Accepted to Faculty of Arts and the Interfaculty of Arts and Science. I’m canadian but live in the U.S. SAT- 1980, SAT II: Lit 710 Math 610 Biology 740, ACT 30, 4.2 GPA, 19th out of 311 class rank. I already received my packet last week, and I got accepted in February. Got accepted to Queen’s, U of Western Ontario, and Ottawa U, as well as Furman U and Boston U. I’m waiting on Yale, Brown, and Harvard and have no idea how I will ever decide.

I got accepted to the interfaculty arts and science and the science program. I’m a Canadian living in the U.S . I also got accepted to Queen’s and UBC. I’m thinking about going to Queen’s, because I heard Mcgill isn’t that great for undergraduates, is that true?

Hey, I have applied to the faculty of management and my application status is still in further review required. What I wanna ask is what should do with the additional requirements? As far as i know, we don’t need to submit any essay or recommendation letter for commerce right? In my portal, the notes for additional requirements is still in “decision pending” and the status is “not yet received/processed”. Has anyone got idea on this?

They don’t care no matter how low you get in one particular course,
as long as you have a decent average, then you are in?

ACCEPTED!
