Admitted in BSc Biol, Biomed & Life Science major Biochemistry.
I’m a French student, I applied on the 1st of October 2021. I send my TOEFL scores on the third of January.
I went from « Ready for review » from the 1st of october to the 15 of december. Then, « Further Review Required » until today !
They must be doing international students first. I’m a dual citizen and I saw other dual citizens being admitted as well as the French student who just got accepted.]
Canadian students have always received their decisions last due to the emphasis on grade 12 marks.
Please share stats and what faculty you or your son/daughter applied to. Did you submit test scores or not. Thanks
Accepted to Arts faculty and Arts and Science interfaculty
4.0 UW (12 AP courses by time of graduation)
720 EBRW, 700 M (single sitting)
32 ACT composite (29-35 subject scores, single sitting)
Hi! have any international students (especially those doing the IB diploma) received an offer from McGill yet?
Does anyone know what is the deadline to accept an offer from McGill for US based students?
May 1.
My status changed to Reviewed - Decision Pending, which is weird. I did not take an ACT/SAT - in CA you couldn’t until recently. But I have a 4.0 unweighted with 5 APs from a rigorous high school. Very discouraging.
When did you submit you self-reported grades?
I am very impressed with the fast respond from McGill. We submit the grade on 1/13 evening PST time and got acceptance today 1/18 for BSc. For B Eng, the status went to Reviewed - Decision Pending. I guess the test score is not high enough to have acceptance in Eng.
I did US Self Reported Grades on 1/1 and then the status changed and Self-Reported mid year grades appeared on the todo list. After some research I hit submit AGAIN on the US Self reported graded on 1/8 and yesterday it changed to Reviewed - Decision Pending. Apparently I should have entered my grade a long time ago for previous years and In progress? It is very confusing!
McGill has posted international fees for the class entering Fall 2022:
Do you apply to one year scholarships? Or student is automatically considered ?
Students are automatically considered for the one-year entrance scholarship so no supplementary application. However, for the Major Entrance scholarship which is the renewable one, there is an individual supplementary application.
Thank you ! We knew about major entrance scholarships as a separate application , but the one year one was a news to me a thanks again !
Woof. Desautels is getting up there.
How long after uploading our mid-year report are we likely to receive a decision?
Many on here report subsequent decisions within days of doing so. That was the case with my son.
What is the general concensus here regarding Mcgiil and pandemic ? I belong to a FB group for parents of international Mcgill students. There were a lot of displeasing parents on how university handled the pademic including isolation/ mental health of the students , and on line classes last year. Its stressful enough to send a child to study to a different country , but with the pandemic now on the way its even more. Hopefully , next year will be better . thank you .
