She did not need a study permit as she is Canadian. She was born in US so we uploaded her her Citizenship Certificate. I did have her Social Insurance Number (SIN) so she can work.
Once uploaded, her Minerva profile was adjusted a couple of days later.
Have you heard back from Major Entrance scholarship?
Thank you , so we will just upload the legal documents needed . No she did not hear yet from the university about an entrance scholarships … I will let you know ! Some say students had an interview prior …
Wow! Things must have changed since 2019. My D did not have interview.
Son is still waiting to hear also…
Did she get an email to check her Minerva account? Or does McGill not send an email when sending out acceptances?
My kid did get an email to check, and was accepted. The email came in the evening Eastern time.
She had an email to check Minerva

When did you submit your midyear report? I submitted mine on Monday 24 January but I have not heard back yet
on 30th January
I submitted once in late December when it asked mid-year. So, I just uploaded it where it was supposed to be. But last Friday, it emailed me again that said, “An important update regarding your McGill application” So I checked the Minerva, and I then found that I should also update my transcript while submitting the mid-year(the updated one won’t cover the original version).
So, maybe you could update your transcript before they remind you if you haven’t done so.
The email noticing admission was from another address starting with “noreply,” and it’s from the enrollment service and tells you that the decision has been made.
Wish you the best of luck to your application!
My son who is an intenationnal applicant (French in US High School in Panama) sent his HS records on jan 14th (BSc Biol, Biomed & Life Sci)
He did not receive a decision soon and the status is still Ready for review.
UW GPA 4, W GPA 4.57, 8 APs (Englsh, French, Spanish, Physic 1, Capstone sem & res, Calculus, World Hist) without SAT
Are you saying that your kid (US student) uploaded grade on Monday and got accepted on Tuesday? Did your kid have to resubmit transcript or anything else?
My son uploaded his 1st semester grades today. Had no idea that the turnaround could be so fast and do not want to mention it to him in case there is something additional that he needs to do.
Yes. I double checked just now. Jan 25, kid received email letter about application decision(in evening). 1st semester grades weren’t final until Jan 24 so that was the day that grades were submitted in Minerva. But the application itself (other than US high school self-reported grades) had been finished months before, including AP scores.
Okay, good. He applied months ago and is anxiously waiting. I think that we are all set… fingers crossed and holding our breath.
My daughter and her friend (US students) both uploaded grades on Monday, and her friend was accepted on Tuesday, but my daughter still hasn’t heard. I’m not sure if it makes a difference what school they applied to? They both applied to different ones. Good luck!!
Different schools/faculties take longer time to make and send decisions.
Still have not heard back… genuinely getting quite worried!
Same here, kind of discouraged. Applied very early and uploaded grades as soon as they were released in January. The status now says “Reviewed - Decision Pending” and has said that for a few weeks. I have a UW 4.0 with 5 AP classes but I did not take the ACT/SAT because it was not possible to take where I live.
Im with you… applied in early october, grades as soon as I could. Reviewed - decision pending" for a couple weeks now. I submitted a 29 ACT and 5/6 APS with a 4.25 gpa…
What are you applying for? Maybe its due to programs?
Mine says Further Review Required. I’ve sent my mid-year transcript and self reported my ACT score (35) in my McGill application. However, I just realized that I haven’t sent my score official score report so I did that a couple hours ago. Would this speed up their decision making process? I applied back in late Oct/ early Nov so it would be great to receive a decision soon…
Yes, I think that’s vital. I bet you’ll hear shortly now.
