McGill Acceptance Decisions Class 2024 (Entering 2020)

im a US applicant too, and don’t get my first semester transcript until mid February and have further review required in my minerva. should I wait until then or should I submit my first quarter grades?

@user1130 Submit the first quarter grades now.

Hi all! My daughter was admitted today to Arts! US High School in NYC area;rigorous and well known. She had a 3.7 uw and 3.9 weighted and ACT of 32! I hope this gives hope to all of you! Mcgill is an amazing school ! Good luck and keep checking.!!

is further review requested a good or bad sign

@animallover1212 Well, it’s a good thing in the sense that your grades/stats aren’t low enough to get you rejected right away. That being sad, many, many people get “Further Review Required”, be it because they haven’t yet provided a certain document or whatever.

Hi, congratulations ! My child was also accepted to the art school with similar GPA. We live in NYC as well. My kid was also accepted to university of Toronto Mississauga campus. Now we haven’t made up of our mind which one to choose from? We don’t know much about the schools. And will greatly appreciate if you or anyone here could help us on this. Btw, just wondering if you are Canadian citizen? Thanks I’m advance. Wishing all good luck!!!

Fir us it is McGill, hands down! I forgot to mention she is a French citizen…look at the price of Toronto! Both are great though…

@Seablue2002 Mississauga is a suburban branch campus and is mostly commuter. It may be possible to transfer to the St. George (main) campus after first year.

To me Toronto is Chicago with a low crime rate.

McGill is in the middle of downtown Montreal yet has a real campus. The city is an amazing place to be for a university age person. The workload is rigorous and quite demanding.

Thanks so very much for the reply.

Hi everyone! I just got into McGill last night at around 9 PM.

Scholarship: Forgot to apply :stuck_out_tongue:
Junior Year:
AP US History 5
AP Spanish 5
AP Statistics 5
Senior Year:
AP Comparative Government
AP European History
AP World History
AP Art History

Tips: Make sure to include your first term grades as part of your transcript if possible because they’ll probably make a decision sooner

Child (US citizen) got in to faculty of arts a few days ago. The 3 things they look at for faculty of art:

3.75 uw 10-1st marking period this year.
Lowest English grade is A
33 on ACT

Further review required for faculty of arts and science. She got a B+ in pre-calc last year, is in AP calc now. Maybe if that’s an A she gets in?

Seablue, I don’t know if this is important to you, but u of Toronto is about double the cost of McGill for international students.

Already uploaded first quarter grades but status is still pending further review.
Appears to be asking for second quarter/midyear grades.

Anyone else in a similar position? Should I assume that no decision will happen without the midyear grades?

Got into Desaultels BCom! American citizen, SAT 1560

is “Ready for Review” a good sign? I have similar scores to some people who have just gotten in but haven’t heard back yet.

I think it just means that your application is complete but has not been reviewed by the AOs yet. I have the same status (International IB student; 43 IB, 35 ACT, 800Math II)

what are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?

Im an American HS student (but French dual nationality), 3.9 uw gpa, 34 ACT, and I took 7 AP’s and 2 college classes at UNC

oh, also im currently on a gap year so have submitted all of my end of year senior grades!

Well let’s hope we hear back soon, good luck!

When are they sending decisions for A-Level STUDENTS ???
