I am a Canadian citizen living abroad doing the IB program. I have applied to McGill, but due to some extenuating circumstances, I have become worried about my chances of being accepted. I have applied to mechanical and electrical engineering. Their requirements include math, physics and chemistry. However, when I had first chosen my IB courses, I had planned on applying to the US for biomedical engineering. I had therefore thought that it would be a good idea to take biology. Later, I ended up only applying to Canadian universities, all of whom require chemistry. I talked to the universities later and they said not having chemistry does not necessarily bar me from being admitted, but it does hurt my chances and that I'd have to perform very well in other subjects and overall.

The following are my predicted grades:

Physics HL: 7
Biology HL: 6
French HL: 6
English SL: 6
Economics SL: 6
Mathematics SL: 6
Theory of Knowledge: A
Extended Essay: B

Overall: 40

I'm guessing my physics grade helps for admission into engineering. On top of this, I have been doing a high school level chemistry course to get some background in the subject. McGill is aware of this, but it is not IB standards.

Do I have a chance of making it into McGill with these grades despite my lack of IB chemistry?

Thanks :)
