Hi!

McGill is my dream school, but I am really nervous about getting in. I got mainly As, some Bs. I have a 4.3 weighted GPA but a 3.8 unweighted GPA. I got a 1950 on the SAT... which I understand is low for a McGill applicant... and I got a 710 on my three SAT 2s: US History, World History, and Literature. I am applying to the Arts (history) and Education.

Do you think I have a chance at getting in? I heard that the Arts are a lot easier to get into than the Sciences, but I am still really nervous since my SATs aren't that great.

Thanks!

I am applying to both of these faculties as well and actually have very similar stats. Same gpa, slightly lower sat (1930) and higher sat two’s (760) I think / have been told arts is a reach so I’d say it’s less likely we’ll be accepted. However, on the positive end, education looks very probable that we’ll be accepted.

And yes, the Sciences are typically a bit harder to get into, however arts is up there too. Education and Nursing are the easiest I believe.

hopefully we’ll both get in!!! I’ve had ‘reviewed-decision pending’ on my Minerva for over a week so getting kind of nervous but who knows.

Good luck to you!

Good luck to you too! My application still says further review required even though they have all my documents on the checklist. Hopefully it changes soon :/
