Chances of getting into McGill for 2013.

There has to be some sort of file involved, a R-score, a GPA (with or without SAT/ACT, depending on your origin), or IB scores; else I cannot chance you.

Plus, indicate your major because McGill admissions are major-heavy.

Hey guys, I am a high school senior who current lives in Texas.

I want to know my chances of getting into McGill in Montreal.

I am a Canadian citizen and a resident of Quebec.

My GPA out of a 4 is a 3.8
My GPA out of including ap classes is 4.5
This past semester my GPA was a 5.6 out of 6.
I have taken 9 AP classes, 2 sophomore year, 2 Junior year, and 5 this year.
I have a composite SAT score of 2120.
Math 760 writing 690 and reading 670.
680 Math I SATII
650 Math II SATII (I was sick that day so that probably why it’s low)
I’m taking the Biology and Math II SATIIs this weekend and will probably get around a 700 on both. I am taking the ACT for the first time in February.
I am rank 151 out of 1060 students in my class( that’s most likely because of my nine AP classes[i got all A’s in them except my first AP class sophomore year in which I got a 78])
I was born in Montreal so I don’t know if that helps.
I have 187 community service hours at Memorial Herman hospital
I have 32 hours at my churches food pantry.
I play soccer but won’t play at McGill if admitted.
I applied to chemical engineering.

What do you guys feel my chances are. I’m feeling nervous about college because I just had my interview with Brown and I’m debating doing more to improve my chances at McGill.

Oh and a 12 on my SAT essay

McGill ChemE: Match (ECs hold NO weight at McGill unless you’re waitlisted and you bring them up in the appeal letter; please, list an alternate, easier to get into major if you haven’t already)
Brown: Reach

McGill ChemE might be brought to a low match if you actually score a 700 on Biology and Math II SAT 2s.

I’m sorry what do you want me to explain?

You might have a chance for Chemical Engineering, although it’s not guaranteed.

If you score 700 on the Biology and Math II tests then your chances will improve, perhaps even in the safety range.

BTW, your origin has no bearing on admissions; however, it will affect tuition.

So would you consider me thus far as pretty much safely in? My backup major is electrical engineering of that means anything.

Oh and my dad is an alumni from 1986.

You’d safely be in electrical engineering… chemical engineering as well if you score ~700 on the Biology and Math II tests.

Alright I think I got what I need, I appreciate the help. By chance, do you know when McGill releases admission decisions?
