McGill Decisions Class of 2021 (entering 2017)

did you get an email to say a decision has been made on your minerva @Soso123 ?

@sebbymcgill called and spoke to someone Next day I checked on Minerva. Was waitlisted for school of art/ science Now waiting as McGill is my first choice.

@Soso123 does that mean that McGill have already reached their space limit certain programs?

@sebbymcgill I don’t know. Maybe for US students. Accepted the waitlist. Now hoping According to the Minerva should hear soon.

@Soso123 Does calling them make your application progress go faster?is it even mentioned on your application?

Hi there - I’m still RDP (Arts). Is getting placed on the wait list better than RDP?
What are you applying for? What are your details?
Thx!

Hey @Soso123 congrats on the wait list, that’s better than a rejections. I have a question for you…Is getting placed on the wait list better than RDP? I’m on RDP (for BArts) Mind you, I submitted some extraneous circumstances documents a couple of weeks ago, (my father died several months ago) so that additional submission may have knocked me back in the cue and they only changed me form “still needs to be reviewed” to “RDP” only this morning.

According to this article Canadian universities have seen an increased yield (deposits submitted indicating intention to enroll) from US and overseas applicants compared to last year:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/19/world/canada/canadian-colleges-see-surge-of-foreign-students-its-not-just-politics.html

I’m an international student and I was accepted on May 4th for Arts & Science. My GPA wasn’t so high but I think applying for the scholarships was a smart choice since I was able to highlight all my extracurriculars. Hope you guys all get accepted!

Is anybody worried about its "party school " reputation or is it just me

@intstudent2021 omg I thought I was the only one

@intstudent2021 @CosmicMaria All universities except Brigham Young University, Christian colleges and strictly commuter schools are "party schools’ to one extent or another. The biggest party schools are those where athletics and Greek life dominate. That is not the case at McGill.

Talked to McGill Admissions on the phone, they told me they don’t even know if the answers for internationals will be done by June or if they will answer through June. I don’t understand how they can be the only university to not have a competent admissions team. For people in France, we will be taking our exams without even knowing where we will live next year, and for people doing International Baccalaureat, they have already finished their exams and still haven’t received answers. This is gross incompetence from McGill Admissions.

still waiting omg

I have been accepted to University of Toronto and University of Guelph but I still hope I can get in to McGill (still FRR although I sent in all the documents required) . I have to send in my choice by 1st of June. U of T is a top uni while U of G is said to be the top 1 uni in Canada for the course (nutrition) i want to major in. I’m contemplating on which uni should I secure a space in first. helpppppp :((

S indian here still rdp for 3months

Hey, international student here.
Does anybody know what’s the cut off date for McGill sending out decisions? My application still says ready for review. Is it possible that they don’t even send a decision?

anyone seen reviewed decision pending meaning has changed on mcgill website to waitlisted for interview

Anyone that is waitlisted from US heard back ? Any ideas when we should hear back ? And what are the chance to get in ?

I’m a US applicant

I have crazy legacy and Canadian citizenship, but I’m not sure if that will help.
I’ll be applying to the FACULTY OF SCIENCE, and KINESIOLOGY PROGRAM through the faculty of education.
I would be the class of 2022 at McGill. It’s my number one school so I’m hoping

What are my chances for each program I’m applying to??
