McGill Decisions Class of 2021 (entering 2017)

UPDATE: I emailed them back with my trash AP scores. They responded pretty quickly saying my application status is updated and it’s still Admitted so I think AP scores are for credits only, not admission.

@young177 You will not be rescinded but if your bad AP study habits continue at McGill you will likely flunk out. Unlike many American colleges McGill will not hesitate to kick you out.

@greeksalad123 My daughter, also a U.S. student, applied to multiple programs. She applied in early Sept, status changed to “Further Review Required” around Dec1. She uploaded her semester 1 grades a couple of days ago and her status hasn’t changed.

@CosmicMaria Hang in there - keep checking. Happy New Year!

@young177 For AP scores, don’t we need to send the official scores from College Board to McGill and not just email them the scores?

@Pippin99 thank you! Merry Christmas!

@daisym15 Congratulations! Did you receive the offer today? I thought they were on a break for Christmas…

Hi everyone! I’m a US high school student and I’m applying to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences as well as the Faculty of Science. However, I’m also applying to the Music Program and have filled an application out for that. Am I supposed to submit multiple applications? I’m just really confused about how Canadian apps work so any help would be appreciated
Do I need to submit letters of rec or essays or are those just for scholarships?
Do I need to submit official score reports? Are there SAT Subject test requirements?
How is applying to a US school different from applying to a Canadian school?

Music is a separate application. You can apply to 2 programs on your other application.

Essays and recs are only for scholarships.

2 SAT II’s are required.

Are you above the minimum requirements?

Please read the McGill application website:

@TomSrOfBoston Thank you so much! Do you know if SAT IIs are required if I’m planning on only submitting my ACT scores?

If you take the ACT you do not need to submit SAT II.

Hello everyone! First of all, I hope you are all having a very Merry Christmas with the company of your loved ones <3

Okay, so here’s the deal, and although this may not be the correct thread to do it, I really hope you’ll help me: I just applied to U of T as a second choice (I know I am quite late) and they ask for my official transcripts. However, that means I’ll have to upload them via Parchment/Naviance but my school is not even listed on those websites, so I guess I’ll have to do it myself in an unofficial way. Do you think I’ll have problems with that?

I got accepted the week of the 19th

Anyone heard from admissions today?

Hi all,

I’m currently a US High School student. Mcgill has received my transcript and my ACT scores. My transcript however only lists my senior classes but does not have my senior grades. How do I upload my first and second quarter grades? Is it too late now?

@ mcgill20201 There should be a space for your grades under “Checklist” in Minerva. If not, I would call admissions and ask.
