Congrats, @avocadopal :slight_smile:

Congrats, @avocadopal :slight_smile:

I got a further review required but was not told to upload anything new on my checklist.

@ogey You can always call and they will check and let you know that indeed everything is OK.

is there anyone applying to the faculty of science?

Hi everyone! I am an american student and I got “further review required,” i am assuming because this is of my painfully mediocre stats. I am going to upload my midterm grades and hope for the best ;))

Got accepted in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences today! Good luck

Hi!
Does anyone know how much emphasis McGill puts on math grades for applicants to Faculty of Arts? I just got my first semester report card and I ended up with a C in Calc 3 (duel enrollment class). My other grades were 3 A’s and 2 A-'s, but it brought my cumulative GPA down from a 3.7 to a 3.65 UW. I also got a 30 on the ACT. I’m worried that the C will ruin my chances. Any input would be helpful!

@daintydaisies

My D was accepted for Arts and got a B in AP Calc AB this fall. If you had strong math grades in previous years you may be fine. She had to upload her mid-year grades prior to acceptance.

@daintydaisies Only English grades need to be a B+ or better for Arts. My son last year was a 3.5 and 31 and was accepted to Arts.

anyone know if mid-year grades need to be from a report card, or can they be from a student access portal?

@zorgan My D created a PDF from her student access portal, although it was a page that clearly showed the semester grades. McGill accepted it.

@zorgan I think they’re flexible about these things. I uploaded my second marking period grades from an unofficial report card (not even midyear, because those don’t come out until February), and they still accepted them. My initial transcript was also unofficial – it didn’t even have my guidance counselor’s name on it, so we wrote it in on a post-it. Didn’t have a problem either way.

@Writer1992 You will be required to submit an official final transcript showing your graduation.

@my2caligirls @SwimmingDad thank you, I will hope for the best!

I know! I was just trying to say that they’re flexible for application purposes. :slight_smile: @TomSrOfBoston

I just got in “Admitted Pending Final Results”. On my checklist it says I’m missing “high school graduation proof” and that’s it. My main question is if I need to upload midyear grades?

Also, how can I get an idea of the cost? The website isn’t very clear in that it tells me it can cost anywhere from $15k to $40k
