McGill essay

Hi guys,
I need a little help with the McGill entrance scholarship essay... I'v finished two of them, and the only one left is the Letter of Reference.
Get a hold of this... the topic is

Write a letter of reference for yourself in the third person. Include experiences, interests and achievements, creative endeavours, strengths as well as weaknesses, and leadership skills which you possess or are developing.

I don't know how I should approach this. All the information that is required here is already communicated through other parts of the application. Its pretty clear the admissions officers want to know what you think of yourself, and I feel they are expecting an element of creativity? But how creative should I be? I'm thinking of recounting an experience in the third person? or maybe creating another character and present it like this character's letter of reference?
Please help me out here...

why don’t you pick one activity and really amplify on what it means to you. i dont think many refernces really get into detail about specific activities and what they meant to the candidate.

I think a major part of the essay should concentrate on one activity… then talk about some general stuff, bcoz everything mentioned in the topic is in the plural… It’ll be hard to fit it all in 4000 characters, but no harm trying…

well, I think it is a good one

Sorry for reviving on old topic, but this essay prompt is one of the most difficult (and dullest) prompts I’ve ever seen.

Do you know if mcgill requires an essay or personal statement for admissions to the faculty of managment?? If so what could be the subject??

McGill does not require an essay for admission but does require one for major scholarships, which is a separate application. No idea re: the topic.
