so... i keep hearing about this famous party time. except im a bit confused! anyone want to fill me in on what i should expect, come the new semester?

it's basically an orientation week, with "get-to-know-you" events and ton of parties. because most frosh is legal, the events are pretty alcohol-heavy as opposed to the "dry" frosh at other schools. basically since everyone has just moved out of their parents house there's TONS of partying. since i obviously don't go to McGill i'm sure that other people can fill you in on the specifics.

frosh week isn't only limited to mcgill it also involves the 3 other universities in the city of montreal. basicly each school has it's set of activities there's a lot of drinking and fun to be had for new students at either of these univ.

all of the events are combined? that's interesting....i know that at most canadian unis, each school has their own frosh week since the intent is to integrate the frosh to the school and their classmates. taht's really cool though!

well actually each school has it's own activities which are seperate from the other schools but your likely to run into other students from other schools.

when is frosh anyway??:O

mcgills frosh occurs usually in late august. it starts with faculty frosh (which is just within your faculty) and then ssmu frosh (which is the whole university)... our frosh program is very seperate from the other universities, in fact concordia and UdeM's frosh programs i believe happen generally a week after ours.

you'll have a great time- make sure you register early to avoid lineups on the first day. you'll recieve info in the mail.

i just got accepted to mcgill and i am trying to figure out which dorm to live in. which is the best dorm for freshmen? i dont want to be off-campus in Solin or greenbriar but i also heard that the New Rez was exorbitant..etc...where should i live as a freshman?
