I don't really understand McGill honors program. It seems like the faculty of arts honors program requires more courses in that subject instead of taking harder classes (with exceptions like economics).

How many percent of arts student graduate with honours?

The ontario universities like Toronto and Queen's are direct honours unlike McGill. How would a non-honours McGill graduate compare with them?

Is the mcgill honours program a must for postgraduate program like law, education and business?

I’m not sure about percentage/graduate school stuff, but in terms of the Arts faculty honours program, the main differences are that you take more classes in your department, have to uphold a higher GPA in all of these classes, and must write an honours thesis in order to graduate. Also, some departments have other standards… like internships or certain required classes you must take.

Just to add to that, some departments, such as economics, don’t require more classes but more difficult classes.

Is the arts honours program required for postgraduate programs like the MBA or Master of Education programs in America?

I doubt it, especially for an MBA, as you usually don’t go straight from undergrad to business school so your having an honours degree is slightly less important.

I do know that McGill will not accept their own economics students to do grad economics unless they did an honours degree.
