McGill or USC; Thanks for Helping.

In case you haven’t heard, no one is getting jobs these days! One of the other parents recently posted that their child who graduated in engineering two years ago from one of the better programs in the US is still looking for work.

All my Canadian friends here in the DC area do their level best to send their bi-national kids to Canada to college because of the price differential. If your parents really truly can afford to pay the difference, then you are fortunate. But from my perspective, a temporarily unemployed McGill grad and some $160,000 in the bank looks a lot better than a temporarily unemployed grad of USC and no money left in the bank. Ask your parents if they will consider helping you pay for grad school or just generally get started in life if you keep your undergrad expenses low.
