<p>McGill is usually higher ranked for engineering, although not in all rankings. McGill also has a great world wide reputation (US News 17th in the world).</p>
<p>Vanderbilt is a great institution in the US, and its engineering department is apparently pretty good too, and I'd get a chance to take more courses, and doing a minor in economics would probably be easier, although McGill's website and their students say that it is also quite easy in McGill.</p>
<p>Which one would you suggest? Forget fin aid here.</p>
<p>And I'd probably work internationally, perhaps in my country in Asia or in Europe, or even in the US. Not sure about that.</p>
<p>PS Despite all the reputation of McGill, I tend to see McGill never being put with the good schools in the US in this forum. It's a little confusing.</p>
