If I apply to McGill and put down that the Sciences program, is that an individual college? Basically what I'm saying is that if I apply to the Sciences, will all my classes be sciences and I won't be able to do anything besides in science once I graduate?

If the McGill application has you pick a specific college to apply to, then yes, you are applying to that college. Many larger universities do this, but they generally have and Arts & Sciences college that covers many disciplines (Cornell and UMichigan are examples).

Generally no, you’re not restricted to just courses in your college, as there are electives and general education requirements to fulfill. However, McGill may be different as I’m unfamiliar with the Canadian system, and their website is not very helpful. I did find this page in the Science Faculty which addresses minors and electives:

[Choose your extras: electives, minors, field studies, and more](http://www.mcgill.ca/science/prospective/chooseyourprogram/extras/)

However, when you hit the link to the list of approved electives, it just takes you to the advising page.

If you look at the left column, and you go to the SOUSA link, may find more information that helps. I was unable to find anything that gives overall UG general requirements.
