Just wondering...has anybody that auditioned at McGill heard ANYTHING or gotten their complete status on minerva? Mine still says "ready for review" when in fact they are almost a week late! It says on their site decisions will be posted from january to the end of march, and...it's april! So, what am I to think of this and what if they don't get to me until like may!?

You should probably call the admissions office- to my knowledge they have been sent out... check again at midnight, thats when minerva gets updated

lol. i've been put on hold for 1 hour each time i call and i just end up hanging up. so yeah if they don't get back to me by april 20th i'm just not even going to consider them-HOPEFULLY they will but nobody knows.

Same for my D as for ABlestMom - accepted on Minerva last week, plus a phone call from a friend who works in Admissions, but nothing in the mail as of April 3.

oh wait i read rideltrain's post lol. my brain is getting insane. thanks for the input! Hopefully they'll tell me over the phone (then again probably not). so we'll see..see..se..

i got rejected for the 2nd time...***C!!!! I got rejected from arts/sciences and now from music..my life is over as of college wise...i am so depressed :-(

no but the thing is i feel lied to. i met the prof. on faculty for tenor and he was like 'u have an amazing voice you should make it in' and he was one of the judges...so idk if he was just kind of manipulating me into applying/auditioning for their sake (money) or whether he just compltely lied. idk. i am mad at that school though lol.

jeremybeach, honestly the Schulich School of Music and the voice program are extremely competitive, you should not hold anything against the school for not gaining acceptance- to my knowledge over 200 singers auditioned for less than 15 slots; my friend got waitlisted @ Juilliard as a mezzo, but rejected at McGill, and another friend of mine got accepted to Juilliard as a soprano with scholarship and wasn't even awarded scholarship at McGill, where the scholarships were given to other females... it's very competitive, so don't feel down about it, at least you got this far!

haha i guess so; at least, rideltrain, thanks forl the wordsof encouragement and following up on my posts! Ifi knew you in person i'd be happy but i do not.

Admissions told us, "We are in the process of sending out information. The Schulich School of Music is working quickly to send you the information you require as soon as we can."

The web site says decisions to accept are due at the "beginning of June."

when i was accepted to the school of music 3 years ago it took almost 3 weeks for my package to come through- this is probably because of the mail having to go through customs if you're in the US. it slows it down, quite a lot
