Hey guys!
I just applied to McGill University the other day. I have submitted all my documents (including school transcript) with my grades from 9th, 10th and 11th grade. Now it says "Ready for Review". What about my grades from 12th grade? When do I send them? This has got me really confused right now. I am a senior (12th grade) btw. Any help would be appreciated and I thank you all in advance!

Yes my school does grade by semesters. But McGill requires all documents by January 15th and my first semester of 12 grade grades (LOL that was kinda wordy) come out on Jan.30th. So I’m kinda stuck…
Pertaining to the UCAS statement I need to fill out: what is that exactly? Any tips?

BTW where are you applying? I am applying to Harvard, Princeton , UPenn, McGill in Canada and Univ. of Edinburgh.

I’m applying to NYU, Brandeis, GWU, Fordham, Rutgers (accepted), Penn State (accepted), SUNY Binghamton, St. Andrews, Edinburgh, maybe Durham and various other UK and american universities… A lot. :P

I’d also suggest emailing the admissions office, but it will most likely be fine. In the US, they either don’t care or you send them in when they’re available. But definitely email them.

I’m applying to Dickinson, Middlebury, Carleton, St. Lawrence, Barnard, GWU, Kenyon, Connecticut College, University of Chicago, Edinburgh (accepted), Leeds (conditionally accepted), Manchester (accepted) and SOAS. Lots of writing haha.

AWESOME UNIVERSITIES GUYS!! All good choices!! Thanks for the prompt replies! Pandapower2012 Congrats on Edinburgh! What kinds of tests have you submitted for admission to Edinburgh? The whole application process has left a little confused school transcript-wise and grades wise?
I am going to try to get my statement ready and apply by the end of this week! Thanks guys!

Quick question --how long after you competed the on-line application to McGill did your SAT scores get posted to Minerva (assuming you sent them beforehand via CB)?

Hi Pathways! Well I did send my SAT scores to McGill via CB. But in the McGill application there is a section where you specify SAT/TOEFL/IELTS scores. Thet showed up in Minerva directly.

@Sami: thank you so much! For Edinburgh (and the UCAS in general) I submitted SAT I scores, SAT II scores, and AP scores. I also listed all my classes from high school and my grades from each class as “international qualification–other.” The UCAS is pretty confusing. Remember, you don’t actually have to submit your transcript at all. I listed all my classes and grades because my college counselor thought it would be a good idea, but it wasn’t required. Does that help?

@PandaPower2012 thanks it does help! But I still don’t know how to begin my personal statement… . US college applications and essays are much easier because they tend to be SAT-like.

i’m applying for faculty of science (physics) and the mcgill website says that they require B+ grades in the pre-req classes, and B+ average in grades 10,11, adn 12. I got a B- in ap bio this first trimester, but I have A’s in all the pre-req classes, (chem, physics, and math). will i still be okay for admission?
