McGill vs. UofT: What's Your Preference?

What makes them different from each other? I really want to apply to one of them, but they both seem so similar....

btw, I looked at both, and the app fee for McGill was CAN$80 but CAN$180 for UofT? (for the university itself and then that Ontario-wide application...) Is this all sounding correct?

Any insight into which you think is better in terms of scholarships, finaid, the "city", and academics (Particularily for the liberal arts)

And, haha, what are the acceptance rates for each? Their websites and terrible and I couldn't really find any good literature...

McGill, as far as I know is cheaper than UofT.
Toronto's a better city to live in.
McGill is tougher to get into as compared to UofT.
I don't think UofT should be $180. More like $100. Check again ...

personally i would prefer mcgill. mcgill is definitely tougher to get into. i am an international. i have seen kids with D's in the A-Level exams get into UofT.

U of T is a breeze to get in to. They'd let a mentally handicapped infant in to U of T...
OK, I'm exaggerating, and that was rude..hahaha anyways my point is that McGill is better. And Montreal is a MUCH better city to live in...are you on crack 20LEGEND?

Urr, isn't there a language issue in Montreal? (French)

Depends on what you want to study. Last time I checked, McGill didn't offer programs in Near Eastern Civilizations or Celtic Studies, but Toronto does.

Remember that the U of T is a massive school, with around 70,000 students. McGill is less than half that size.

I live in Montreal and I think it's a great city to live in.
