McGill

Just wondering what my chances are since McGill is currently my top choice. I wish there was a way to let them know they were my top choice but it seems they only look at grades and test scores.

GPA: 3.75 (had a terrible freshman year so it's closer to a 3.9 the last two years which is nice since they disregard freshman year and I have an upward trend going)
Rank: 46/210..It's like 22% but I should be able to crack the top 20% by application time
ACT: 29 (31 E, 28 M, 31 R, 25 S)
Taking SAT Subject Tests in October which should be 650+
I'd be applying to Faculty of Arts for probably either Economics or Poli. Sci.

you should be find gpa wise though i have no idea aobut ACT score since i did sat.

mine last year were 2250 SAT, 3.8 GPA (soph + junior year), 680, 710, 750 SAT II scores

Thanks for the reply, I believe a 29 translates to about a 2000 on the SAT scale, I always run out of time on the tests. Anyway the median ACT for past years has always been a 30 so I’m just below that but I’m hoping a lot of the applicants with higher GPAs apply to Sciences and Desautels. I’m not sure that if just because a faculty has higher standards means it will definitely get more applicants with the higher stats though. My interests just happen to lie in the Faculty of Arts which could be convenient.

Anyone else?

bump. Any insight is appreciated, particularly regarding the Faculty of Arts
