how hard is it to get into McIntire once you're in UVA?

VERY HARD, most people get rejected....

NAH, just kidding, 75 % of applicants get in mcINTIRE, i emailed McINTIRE's dean. :)

If I applied to their Engineering School but decide I want to do business, do I just take the engineering classes then apply for school of commerce at the end of my 2nd year?

rose87, to be competitive in the comm school application, you will need to take econ 201/202 comm 180/201/202 as well as some math, so in addition to engineering course make sure you work those courses into your schedule at some point.

wahoo, i can spread these courses in 2 years? or do i have to take these as electives only in freshman year

wahoo2007, do you know if that will be very stressful to take the engineering courses as well as the con and math? But math is already requried for engineering, so would I need to take a separate different math?

rose/crichessill, you can spread those course out over your first three semesters since you apply after your 3rd semester. They suggest a math of calc or better and a course in Stat. Rose engineering has their own more difficult stat courses, i think in the APMA dept which should satisfy your STAT requirement and you'll be required to have calc for engineering anyway.

thanks very much for the clarification wahoo2007!
