<p>Does applying binding early decision reduce the odds for a high-stats applicant getting the McKenna Achievement Award? Coming in as a recruited athlete, probably need to apply ED. Any info is greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>I talked to admissions about that when I visited-- although applying early decision does make merit scholarships more difficult to obtain, it’s not impossible. The McKenna Achievement awards are usually for RD applicants to sway them away from ivies but the Seaver and ISS are not affected by your application cycle. </p>
