Does anyone know if receiving a letter for the McKenna Achievement scholarship means you are also in contention for the Seaver scholarship?

i dont think so, i think they will tell you if you are being considered for seaver as well. is there a facebook group for this or did i totally make that up somehow?

I was wondering if anyone has received a letter that said they did not qualify for the scholarship...i applied by the early deadline, but have not received any notification yet.

congratulations everyone who got invited! see you guys in march...

people who didn't get the email, don't freak out. it's not a huge deal; the financial aid program here is incredibly generous. i was a finalist who didn't get the scholarship, and i'm still paying an absurdly small amount of money to go here. mostly, it's a chance for the college to show off to a select group of applicants.

Thanks.. that make me feel better

does anyone know how many people are going?

Did anyone get anything for seaver?

Hey,

Does anyone know if they notify you saying you ARE NOT getting a scholarship? (I have heard USC does this) I applied by the Dec. 1 deadline but have not heard back yet... I did, however, have a problem where they misplaced my transcript until MID-JANUARY (though they assured my guidance counselor it wouldn't affect my chances for a scholarship).

I'd just feel a lot better knowing that I was considered and they decided no for some reason rather than just being left out because of a problem with my transcript.

Thanks!

So far, no one has gotten a "you're not a finalist" letter/email...

just curious about how the campus visits & interviews went for those invited to discuss merit scholarships? Did anyone stay to attend classes and which ones? Any recommendations for which classes would be good for an incoming freshman?

they were great. i stayed for one class, but i dont think any of us will have insight into good classes for an incoming freshman....none of us got to go to more than one or two.
