McKissick and honors college

Do I have a chance for either? 31 ACT and a 4.7 weighted GPA, I am from NC and could not attend USC without the McKissick

Look at money matters link under admissions to see the average SAT/ACT scores/GPA for various scholarships. Looks like you are in range since list awards last year to sat 1355 (ACT 30). Just be aware that these averages change with each class and numbers for incoming class will not be reflected on site yet. Assuming you’re a junior, I’d try to get ACT or SAT as high as possible (USC superscores SAT CR + M). If you’re interested in honors college, take lots of time with essays on honors application (it is a long app but is read pretty carefully). Don’t know the ACT equiv. but ave. honors student 2 years ago was middle 50% of 1380-1470. Take time this spring or summer to visit and talk to admissions.

You definitely have a chance. My D got McKissick and Honors college this year with a 30 ACT and 3.97 uw gpa. I think her essays were quite good - definitely spend some time on them, and she is an exchange student this year for whatever that might have been worth. I don’t know if they look at where you are from or not, but we are in Louisiana.
