Does Muir50 usually limit reg space, then open up more spaces for freshmen? Today's the first day for most freshmen to sign up for classes, and the sections of Muir50 I want to take have been full since Monday, lol. It says class capacity is 10, but it says here that Muir50 takes 15 students for a class: Muir College Writing Program

So I'm not sure if that's just outdated information and they changed policies, or if they just saved spots for us and havent increased the limit yet. My sign up time is tonight, so I hope to get it cleared up soon, because my entire schedule revolves around whether or not I can get into the right MCWP section :P

Just want to throw this out there though, I think that you have sophomore standing so you because sophomores have registration times until tomorrow night.

Also because according to academic advisors I have the first possible time for freshmen and I’m on the 20th

Waitlist!
People are bound to drop, even in a small discussion like that for MUIR 50. Some people over winter break may wanna rearrange their schedule or not take it anymore.

yeah, they’ll add a few spots to each class over the next week.

definitely waitlist for the class you want, so if/when they add more seats you’ll get into the class and if they end up opening another section - which for mcwp50 is unlikely, but it happens with other classes occasionally - they’ll email everyone on the waitlist about it.
