I want to become a health administrator so will getting a Medical Degree and Masters of Business Administration joint studies at UCLA help me in my career path?

what exactly do you mean by health administrator? There are many people in medical school administration who don’t have MDs. An MD is an awful waste if your goals don’t involve patient care.

I’m going to guess that he/she means a hospital/hospital system administrator. If that’s the case, yes an MD/MBA would help (for the top levels like CEO of a hospital system), but I agree with the sentiment that getting an MD if you don’t want to practice medicine is a waste and you’ll be pretty miserable at med school. You could go for a PhD/MBA, or MPH, etc. and go directly into healthcare administration.

Yes I meant a health services administrator at a hospital. But instead of and MD would a Nursing liscence and MBA be better so I’m specialized for hospital administration. And what are the salaries for master’s degrees starting out? An what kind of positions could I expect??
