I would like to go to UC Davis or Colorado State with my backup being
Oregon State. Please chance for all three along with your opinion on whether they are reaches/matches.

Cumulative/Unweighted GPA: 3.5-3.55

UC weighted GPA: 3.80-3.90...most likely a 3.85
Upward Trend In grades
rank was maybe around 15%

2 College Prep( below honors) 5 honors course, 1 AP over Soph-Jun years, about 12 honors/ap classes total for 4 years

havent taken SAT yet, only a junior. hoping to get around 1600-1700. I dont know.
I want to become a vet and am preparing for that.
I will split my EC's in to 2 catgories to show my two passions to these schools. My passions are Running and I love animals. i do community service involving animals and I am trying tro show that love of animals.

EC's: part of California Scholarship Federation

Running: - 3 years Cross country, 3 years track, 1 year running club

Pre-vet/science: volunteer work at Zoo, animal shelter, cat spay/neuter clinic and a reptile show, job at Petsmart, 2 years chemistry club

Work Experience: Part time cleaning/fileing at local insurance office, Petsmart

please be brutally hones with feedback and ...maybe help with which ec's to take.

I do these EC's because they are what I love. Im not doing them to impress anybody. I hope admissions see this and realize the difference between me and those who pad theyre resume with crap just to get into theyre college of choice.

Thank You

A 1600-1700 is a very poor score on the SAT, aim for a 2000. or at the very least around an 1880 to secure your chances at UC Davis.

Umm...I'm pretty sure that the average SAT score for an incoming freshman at Davis is around a 1650.
