Meal plan downgrade question

Yea sorry, I didn’t realize it that first-year students was the language. I thought it was just freshmen.

Once a student has soph standing, does Dining really know whether a student is a “first year” or not?

What if the student had been a transfer student.

I think some of the problem is that people were trying to change while their records were still showing “freshman.”

When my younger son started at Bama…as soon as his AP credits showed up and his status changed officially to sophomore, I called Dining and said that my child was a soph, he wanted Bronze plan. They may have looked at his standing, but it showed soph, so they changed it.

I didn’t tell them that he was just coming into the school from high school.

where would it show soph standing? transcript?

Has anyone gotten the meal plan downgraded successfully yet? Just wondering.

It should show on MyBama

Off topic a tad, but also regarding dining & $$$

^^^

Interesting…especially in light of the fact that students don’t lose their DD if they don’t spend them. They can get the money back.

bump -

anyone had any luck?

this is on my list to check into this week - however this week seems to ba almost gone!

: )

dd checked this past Tuesday and the answer was no. They knew she was a first year student, even though her status said “sophomore”: . . .and Dd knew to not meniton she was a first year sophomore.
