Meal plan options

^You can get ice cream in Russell on the meal plan at Freshens. (They also have frozen yogurt, smoothies, etc.) You can’t get it at Marble Slab on the meal plan.

I’ve never been to West Quad, but I’m pretty sure you can use your meal plan at Cafe Verde, but not the grocery store thing.

Meal plan is good at almost every eating establishment on campus. The only ones I can think of that aren’t are Bookstore Starbucks and Marble Slab. But you can still get Starbucks from a few other places on campus on the meal plan and can get ice cream from Freshens, so it’s not really a big deal.

notrich, about a dozen of those seperate places are all in the same building, so that explains the discreptancy between the 25 different food vendors and “14 different places”

I’m confused about how the meal plans work. For instance, at some of the chain restaurants on campus, what does a meal swipe equate to?

A lot of people talk about Chick Fil A. Do meal swipes work at CFA/Pizza Hut/etc? How much does a swipe get you?

This might also be a totally separate issue, but can someone explain using money on the carolina card vs bonus bucks?

thank you!

Most of the places like Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut have meals/combo that fit under your meal plan. I don’t go there all that often, but for dinner you can get nuggets/sandwich, fries, and a drink all under a swipe.

Bonus bucks is money that you get for being on a meal plan. That can only go towards food purchases and doesn’t roll over into the next year. Carolina Cash is money you put on your card. It’s kinda like a debit card for on campus purchases. You can buy food, books, etc. with that. And I’m pretty sure it rolls over into the next year.
