Are there any current students out there that can tell me which meal plan works best for them & if they get enough to eat? Do you cook a lot, order out a lot, go home frequently?

I am a current member of Westminster College, Pennsylvania. I have the largest meal plan there is at this college and i am a big eater. So far i have ran out of money twice, but that was in the first semester. Right now sitting about three weeks away from school ending i have $83 left. If your son or daughter does run out of money they can put more money on their account. I don’t eat out often or order out. I know none of the male dorms have kitchens. I know that residents in the Berlin Village have kitchens and some of the sorority suits have them.

We put our daughter on the most generous meal plan that they have (except for the football players, who have their own plan). It was a struggle for her to stay within her plan, but so what? Didn’t we all struggle when we were in college? We got thru it, and so will they.

My son was sick of the meal plan after his second year. He couldn’t take it anymore and ended up learning to cook. The george forman grill worked wonders for him :-)

Thank you all! It sounds like we’ll start with the biggest meal plan.
